Valley Ultrasound aims to provide a superior and affordable medical ultrasound practice to every patient we see and who, as a result of our service, will want to recommend us to family and friends and to referrers who will prefer to use our service because of our timeliness, reliability, and for the standard of care we provide to their patients.
Sally Agar, Principal Sonographer and Director
Sally holds the Diploma of Medical Ultrasound, which she gained in 1990, while working in Palmerston North Public Hospital. With over 20 years experience, Sally has worked in both the Private and Public sectors, in Palmerston North, Rotorua, and the Hutt Valley. The experience gained from exposure to the diverse nature of each role has enabled her to become a highly skilled Sonographer, proficient in all areas of ultrasound imaging.
Sally has an excellent communication skills and bedside manner which instill confidence and trust in her patients.
Dr Malcolm Hudson, Supervising Radiologist
Malcolm attended Auckland University, Auckland Medical School, and did his post-graduate studies through the Auckland public health system. His radiology career began with the Waitemata DHB in 1994 as one of the team at North Shore Hospital and was in a supervisory role at the Radiology department at Waitakere Hospital. Over the years, Malcolm has worked at Radiology clinics in Auckland and Australia. Malcolm established Auckland X-ray Services Ltd in July 2003 as an independent private radiology practice in the heart of Auckland and is working collaboratively with other medical and diagnostic practices in Auckland and further afield in New Zealand to promote his vision of providing easy access to effective medical imaging to the wider community. He also maintains links with several radiology practices in North Queensland in the form of locum visits.
Sarah Srayko, Sonographer
Sarah graduated with a diploma of Diagnostic Medical Sonography from SAIT in Canada. She has seven years of experience in the public sector, bringing with her a high skill level and a wealth of knowledge. Sarah's professional manner and compassion gives her patients confidence in the quality of care they receive.
Dr. Jaco van der Walt
Jaco received his medical degree 1989 and worked as a GP in South Africa, NZ and Canada before returning to training as a radiologist. He has been a qualified radiologist since 2001 and has worked in this capacity in South Africa, the UK and, for the last decade, in Wellington. He has a strong interest in ultrasound and ultrasound guided interventions.
